Personal · Currency exchange
A rate you accept,not a rateyou discover.
Exchange works on a quote: an amount in, an amount out, and a clock. Our margin is inside the rate, there is no separate fee, and nothing moves until you accept.
01
How a conversion runs
Four steps, and you can abandon it at any of them.
- 01Choose direction and amountDOP to USD or USD to DOP. Enter what you want to spend, or what you want to end up with — the quote works either way.
- 02Read the quoteExactly what leaves one balance, exactly what arrives in the other, and how long the quote holds.
- 03Accept within the windowAccept and it executes at the rate you saw. Let it lapse and you get a fresh quote rather than a surprise.
- 04Both balances updateImmediately, with one entry in each currency's history and a shared reference between them.
02
How the rate is built
There is no second number hiding behind the first.
- One number
- The quoted rate already contains our margin. No exchange fee is added afterwards, and the amount you are shown is the amount you receive.
- Held, not indicative
- A quote is a commitment for its validity window, not an estimate that drifts while you decide.
- Same mechanic everywhere
- The apps, the merchant portal and the API all use the same quote mechanic, so a conversion behaves identically wherever it starts.
- Recorded
- The rate you accepted is stored with the transaction. Your history shows the rate that applied, not today's.

Common questions
What if the quote expires?
Nothing happens and nothing is charged. You are offered a new quote at the current rate and can accept or walk away.
Is there a minimum?
There is a small minimum for each direction, shown on the screen before you enter an amount.
Can I set a target rate?
Not today. Rate alerts and scheduled conversions are on the roadmap but are not in the product, so we do not describe them as available.
