About Paydoly
Paydoly is building the payments network for the Dominican Republic: wallets for people, tools for merchants, payouts for teams and a cash agent network that connects them — on one balance, in pesos and dollars. Paydoly Inc. is our US parent company; Paydoly Dominicana, S.R.L. is our Dominican operating company. We're a small team holding a large surface, and the work ships to real counters fast.
The role
Compliance at Paydoly is part of the product. Verification tiers, limits, monitoring rules and agent controls are designed with engineering from the start, and they have to work for people, merchants and agents alike.
You'll work on day-to-day monitoring and investigations, and help shape the policies and tooling behind them, working closely with our partner banks.
What you'll do
- Review transaction-monitoring alerts and investigate unusual activity
- Perform enhanced due diligence on higher-risk customers, merchants and agents
- Prepare suspicious-activity reports and regulatory documentation
- Help design monitoring rules, thresholds and verification tiers
- Support audits and information requests from partner banks and supervisors
- Train internal teams and agents on AML obligations
What you'll bring
- Two or more years in AML, KYC or financial-crime compliance
- Working knowledge of Dominican AML regulation and FATF standards
- Rigorous investigation and documentation skills
- Comfort working with data, queries and case-management tools
- Sound judgement and discretion
- Fluent Spanish and professional English
Nice to have
- Experience at a fintech, payments company or remittance provider
- A recognised certification such as CAMS
- Experience with agent networks or cash-intensive businesses
- Basic SQL
